-----Message d'origine----- De: knopper@linuxtag.org [mailto:knopper@linuxtag.org] Date: jeudi 12 décembre 2002 11:17 À: debian-knoppix@linuxtag.orgObjet: [debian-knoppix] Dell Inspiron 8200 owners wanted for KNOPPIX testing Hi all, Does anyone of you own a Dell Inspiron 8200 and could please try to boot one of the December versions of Knoppix on that? The newer Dell notebooks have a critical hardware bug that freezes the entire machine when accessing an IO address area (0x810...0x81f) within the PCMCIA range, that's why you had to boot with "knoppix nopcmcia" in earlier releases. This area is now excluded, so if you could send a test report about if it works now without this option, that would be nice! Please try a recent December 2002 version. Best wishes -Klaus Knopper _______________________________________________ debian-knoppix mailing list debian-knoppix@linuxtag.orghttp://mailman.linuxtag.org/mailman/listinfo/debian-knoppix This mail has originated outside your organization, either from an external partner or the Global Internet.
