LAST ANNOUNCEMENTS - DETAILS

BACKUP COPY 4.1.0 [ NOT RATED ]
Description: Backup Copy will allow you to keep a
consistent exact copy of your data. It will copy
multiple files faster than standard cp. Its key
features include copying new files only and deleting
files that no longer exist in the source when copying
over a previous backup. When a file is overwritten or
deleted due to a new backup, you have the option of
trashing those files into a trash bin, providing you a
backup of your backup.

JMIRROR 0.1 [ NOT RATED ]
Description: Through the use of the java.lang.reflect
package, JMirror provides the ability to load an
arbitrary class given the class name, to display all
class information such as constructors, methods, data
members; to call arbitrary methods or constructors of a
class and store their return values. Through the use of
this ability, it is possible to create new Widgets, and
utilize them much like an application builder (such as
NetBeans); to store return values of methods and
constructors to be later used as "this" or parameters
for method/constructor calls.

XLOCKMORE 5.01ALPHA15 [ ***** ]
Description: Patrick Naughton's xlock and 90+ more
modes. New options -inwindow, -inroot, -geometry,
-icongeometry, -install, -lockdelay; which allows you
to run it in a window,in the root window, in a
different size/location, change the size of the
iconified window, to install a new colormap, and delay
locking for use with xautolock. Options can now be
passed to modes. Also improvements in portability. It
also has compile time switches for use in a public lab

GNOFRACT 4D 1.5 [ NOT RATED ]
Description: Gnofract 4D is a simple Gnome-based
program to draw fractals. While it's not as powerful
as, say, Fractint, it can draw some interesting images
which most fractal programs can't produce. These are
made by cutting 2D "slices" through a four dimensional
object called the Julibrot. Some examples of these can
be found in the gallery. If you'd like to know some
more about the maths behind Gnofract 4D, you can find
details in the on-line manual.

GETTEXT 0.10.36 [ NOT RATED ]
Description: A well integrated set of tools and
documentation to help programmers, translators, and
users make other GNU packages produce multi-lingual
messages. The tools include a set of conventions about
how programs should be written to support message
catalogs, a directory and file naming organization for
those message catalogs, a runtime library that supports
retrieval of translated messages, and a few stand-alone
programs to manipulate sets of strings. A special GNU
Emacs mode also helps work with these strings.

MARKET ANALYSIS SYSTEM 1.5 [ NOT RATED ]
Description: The Market Analysis System (MAS) is a
software application that provides tools for analysis
of financial markets using technical analysis. MAS
provides facilities for stock charting, including
price, volume, and a wide range of technical analysis
indicators. MAS also allows automated processing of
market data - applying technical analysis indicators
with user-selected criteria to market data to
automatically generate trading signals - and can be
used as the main component of a sophisticated trading
system. Some of the features of MAS are: Exponential
Moving Average, Stochastic, MACD, RSI, On Balance
Volume, Momentum, Rate of Change, etc. User can create
new technical analysis indicators. User can configure
simple and complex criteria for automated signal
generation. Creation of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and
yearly data from daily data. Handles intraday data. Can
be configured and run as a server that provides
services for several clients at a time running on
remote machines.

LINUX KERNEL 2.4.3 [ ***** ]
Description: Linux is a Unix clone written from scratch
by Linus Torvalds with assistance from a loosely-knit
team of hackers across the Net. It aims towards POSIX
compliance. It has all the features you would expect in
a modern fully-fledged Unix, including true
multitasking, virtual memory, shared libraries, demand
loading, shared copy-on-write executables, proper
memory management and TCP/IP networking.

SEARCH AND RESCUE 0.7d [ **** ]
Description: Multi-role air rescue simulator. Fly
various aircraft to save victims in distress.
See: http://www.icewalk.com/softlib/app/app_01250.html
---
FREEBSD 4.3RC2 [ **** ]
Description: FreeBSD is an advanced BSD UNIX operating
system for "PC-compatible" computers. It offers
advanced networking, performance, security and
compatibility features today which are still missing in
other operating systems, even some of the best
commercial ones. FreeBSD makes an ideal Internet or
Intranet server. It provides robust network services,
even under the heaviest of loads, and uses memory
efficiently to maintain good response times for
hundreds, or even thousands, of simultaneous user
processes.
See: http://www.icewalk.com/softlib/app/app_01154.html
---
SYSLINUX 1.54 [ ***** ]
Description: SYSLINUX is a boot loader for the Linux
operating system which operates off MS-DOS floppies. It
is intended to simplify first-time installation of
Linux, rescue disks, and other uses for boot floppies.
A SYSLINUX floppy can be manipulated using standard
MS-DOS (or any other OS that can access an MS-DOS
filesystem) tools once it has been created; and
requires only a ~ 7K DOS program or ~ 13K Linux program
to create in the first place.

---
LIBPNG 1.0.10 [ NOT RATED ]
